Cezayirli Hasan Paşa Köşk is located at Trioa National Park, in the northwest of Üvecik-Yeniköy road in Ezine/Çanakkale and according to Ottoman Official records and European travellers, in the settlement, which is named the village of Yerkesiği or Yerkesiği farm (çiftlik). Hasan Paşa Köşk is known to have been built in the second half of eighteen century. Only the Hasan Paşa Köşk’s Tower has survived until today. The tower has specific features for its many aspects, particularly the architecture of the tower, which is different from the buildings of its period.
In this paper, I have searched for an answer to questions what the condition of the Köşk’s area, which is used as a farm, is in the Ottoman period; what the function of the Hasan Paşa Tower is; when the village of Yerkesiği is established and when it is abandoned. Also, I mention in my paper which periods the water channel, it is believed to the village of Yerkesiği names after the water channel, is used. In addition, I talk about the channel’s track, which could not be located today. In my thesis study, I have investigated and compared to informations of travellers who have visited the area before, related Ottoman archive materials and archaeological research.
